Since 2020, the whole world is struggling against the Coronavirus pandemic. The humanity is still in this war. Although science has created vaccines in order to fight against Coronavirus, however the humanity is still suffering from this pandemic. So, what’s exactly going on? In my opinion, the Coronavirus pandemic is still too powerful, because there is not any international agreement, cooperation or coordination of all the countries’ governments and scientific societies. More specifically, I think that it would be more successful if the governments and the scientific societies of all the worlds’ countries would negotiate and come into an international agreement for the coordination of special measures which must be taken for the restraint of the Coronavirus pandemic. We should remember that we have to face a pandemic, and not an epidemic. As a result, all the governments and scientific societies of the world must be in close contact and negotiate, so as to decide to take the most appropriate measures all together, at the same time. We can take as a corresponding example the Paris Agreement which has been signed in 2016 by almost all the countries of the world, for the restriction of climate change consequences. So, I think that, now, a corresponding international treaty is needed to be signed by all the countries of the world, in order to restrict the spreading of Coronavirus. Such an international treaty should include special measures, which will be obligatory to be applied in all countries of the world simultaneously. For example, a quite reasonable and effective obligatory measure would be the simultaneous, in all countries, bans of people’s movement from one country to another, except for really serious reasons (that is, for health, family, and work purposes). I think that a common, international decision on the adoption of special measures in all the countries of the world, simultaneously, would restrict the spreading of Coronavirus to a significant extent. Until now, we can see a situation in which each government and scientific society take measures only in a national level. So, there is still not any common international plan to impose the adoption of compulsory measures in all countries of the world simultaneously. This situation must change. The humanity is struggling to survive the Coronavirus pandemic. Many people have lost their lives due to this pandemic. This crucial period must unite all the peoples of the world. It is true that, unfortunately, there are many differences between many countries of the world, such as between the United States of America and Russia, or between Greece and Turkey, etc. Unfortunately, even the other great enemy of the humanity’s health, the cancer, was proved not enough to reconcile and unite all the peoples of the world in a common struggle. Finally, I hope that this new global threat of Coronavirus pandemic against the humanity’s health will be able to reconcile all the world’s nations. For this reason, I think that we must not blame China for the global disaster of the Coronavirus pandemic. The Chinese government and the scientific society of China could do nothing to prevent Coronavirus at the time of its first appearance (2019). Unfortunately, some things in the nature are just impossible to be put immediately under control by the humans. In my opinion, the world’s superpowers, U.S.A. and Russia, are the countries which have to take the initiative of starting the appropriate procedures for the signing of an international treaty including obligatory measures for the containment of the Coronavirus pandemic. Mr. Joe Biden’s U.S.A. administration and Mr. Vladimir Putin’s Russian administration must respond to the urgent circumstances immediately. Now it is the most crucial time for these two superpowers to justify their position as superpowers. The United States of America and Russia must cooperate closely in order to persuade all the other countries of the world to cooperate with them, too. This means that both these superpowers should firstly approach China, and apologize for all the blames they have expressed in the recent past against China on the Coronavirus issue. Recently, I’ve heard some individuals expressing a completely unacceptable request: that China should pay compensation as the main responsible of the Coronavirus pandemic! In my opinion, such ideas have no logic. It is true that the country in which the Coronavirus firstly appeared is China. But it would be more useful and beneficial, for the whole world, if U.S.A. and Russia would ask the Chinese government and the Chinese scientists share their knowledge and their ideas on the Coronavirus issue with the rest of the world. Now, it is time for international cooperation and coordination of special measures in order to defeat the Coronavirus pandemic. The world must surpass Cold War’s (1945–1991) open wounds, and other local conflicts. The humanity has now one urgent and difficult task: to win the war against the Coronavirus pandemic.
